Mission Statement
As part of the overall transportation strategy for the I-93 Corridor, the NHDOT is committed to utilizing
Transportation Demand Management (TDM) and Transportation Systems Management (TSM) measures
to manage travel demand on I-93 and extend the life of the project. The Interagency Task Force would
help develop measures and initiatives for a more economically and environmentally sustainable
transportation system. The expected goals and objectives of the Task Force are to:
- Identify appropriate strategies and initiatives to pursue and implement;
- Determine policy and propose legislation;
- Facilitate cross-agency planning and coordination on transportation related initiatives;
- Advance the NH climate action plan goals and strategies relating to reduction of vehicle miles traveled (VMT);
- Assist with local and regional planning efforts on transit oriented development and land use; and
- Promote and support multi-modal alternatives.
