BLASTING WORK TO BEGIN ON I-93 NORTHBOUND IN WINDHAM
EXPECT ROLLING ROADBLOCKS AND MINOR DELAYS
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces blasting work to begin on Interstate 93 northbound near mile marker 8.0, north of the weigh station in Windham.
This work is scheduled to began Monday, January 12, 2015 and could, weather depending last four weeks or so. Blasting operations will be between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, occuring 2 to 4 times a week. Rolling roadblocks with minor delays can be expected on both I-93 northbound and southbound travel ways.
This work is weather dependent. Message boards and uniformed officers will be used along I-93 to provide advanced information and direct motorists through the work zone.
This work is part of the construction of the final northbound I-93 roadway alignment and northbound ramps in the vicinity of Exit 3. Weaver Bros. Construction of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $32.2 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2016.
